Join us for a community event to celebrate the completion of the new Avon River bridge and improvements to Apex Park
The new nature-based playground and BMX/pump track in Stratford’s Apex Park, which the community helped co-design, are now open.
To celebrate, we invite you to come along to a fun, family-friendly event at Apex Park from 10am-1pm on Saturday 24 April.
The free event will include:
- food and drinks
- BMX coaching clinics by YMCA – register here for your spot in one of the clinics on the day http://bit.ly/ApexPark
Mr Whippy Gippsland, Quick Cuppa, Stratford Lions Club, YMCA, TRFM and Wellington Shire Council will all be joining us on the day.
If you’re feeling unwell and experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, please stay at home.
The improvements to Apex Park are being delivered as part of our project to build a new bridge over the Avon River.
Trains are travelling at higher speeds over the new Avon River bridge, which was completed three months ahead of schedule in December 2020, boosting reliability on the line.
