Crews will make critical progress on upgrades to Donnybrook and Wallan stations this weekend as coaches replace trains between Southern Cross and Seymour for V/Line maintenance work.
Work will be taking place that can only be performed safely when trains are not running.
Construction on the platform extension at Donnybrook Station will include laying and pouring concrete, asphalting for the extension and construction on the pedestrian ramp.
At Wallan Station, work will continue on service relocation, and concrete piles will be installed to form the footing for the platform extension.
Coaches will replace trains between Southern Cross Station and Seymour on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 July.
Passengers are asked to allow an extra 50 minutes travel time and to plan their journey at vline.com.au or by calling 1800 800 007.
