The new southern car park at Bacchus Marsh Station has opened, making it easier for passengers to park and catch the train.
The new car park features 155 spaces and access to the existing station platform via the new pedestrian overpass.
While the overpass lifts are not yet operational, station users can use stairs and ramps to access the platform.
Vehicle and pedestrian access to the southern car park is from Parwan Road, adjacent to Mitchem Street.
Spaces will remain reduced in the existing northern car park until mid-November as construction continues on the station forecourt, bus bays, drop-off zones and car parking.
Once the northern car park works are complete, the upgraded station will have 100 extra car parking spaces overall.
The station’s upgrade is being delivered as part of the Ballarat Line Upgrade and also includes an additional platform, accessible pedestrian overpass, improved bus bays and bicycle facilities, and better security, lighting and landscaping.
