Construction will begin in late June on the upgrade to Waurn Ponds Station, with crews beginning to establish the work site at the station from next week.
Initial works will see the establishment of a site compound on the south side of the station, including offices, equipment storage areas and workforce parking before construction begins.
During construction of the upgrades to Waurn Ponds Station, Muir Road will be closed to public access.
To ensure the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and workers, detours will be in place via Ghazeepore Road, Baanip Boulevard, Torquay Road and Heyers Road.
Construction on the upgrade to Waurn Ponds Station is due for completion in late 2021.
