17 December 2020
Site investigations are taking place to help inform planning and design for the South Geelong to Waurn Ponds Duplication.
Thanks for your patience while this important work is underway.
What we are doing
Site investigations will be taking place at South Geelong Station and the Swanston Street level crossing to investigate ground conditions and confirm the location of underground services.
Works will include:
- non-destructive digging
- installing temporary fencing where we are working to maintain safety.
These works will take place during the day from 9am to 5pm.
What to be aware of
These works are expected to be low impact, however there will be some noise generated and low levels of vibration.
There will be traffic management at the Swanston Street and Carr Street intersection including speed reductions during this time.
Traffic controllers will be on site to assist with construction vehicle access as well as pedestrians and cyclist movements around the area.
