The Victorian Government is delivering new stations at Goornong, Huntly and Raywood to give people in these growing communities access to public transport close to where they live.
What will happen?
The new stations at Goornong, Raywood and Huntly will be delivered as part of the Bendigo and Echuca Line Upgrade.
Each new station will include:
- single-sided platform
- lighting, seating and shelter
- signage, CCTV, and public address (PA) system
- car parking with lighting and CCTV.
Have your say
During 2020 we sought feedback from the community to understand what is important to residents and future passengers in relation to the new stations at Goornong, Huntly and Raywood.
An online survey was available to complete on the Engage Victoria website where the participants could comment on the new stations.
Phone-in information sessions were also available for individuals who wanted to speak directly with a member of the project team and ask questions.
A report detailing the feedback received during consultation will be published soon.
What are the next steps?
Extensive site investigations have been undertaken, including non-destructive digging for service identification, geotechnical drilling of boreholes and auger holes to determine ground conditions, and groundwater sampling and surveying.
This work will inform the design and construction of the new stations.
The new Huntly Station has been fast-tracked by nearly a year and is targeted for completion in mid-2022.
The new stations at Goornong and Raywood are on track for completion in late 2021 and late 2022.
