The new station at Cobblebank will open on Monday 2 December.
Cobblebank Station is a modern and accessible station built in the suburb’s future centre. It will help cater for the growing population of Melbourne’s outer west and take pressure off Melton Station.
The staffed station will feature:
- two platforms connected by an accessible pedestrian overpass with ramps, stairs and lifts
- a sealed car park with 190 spaces
- drop-off zones, taxi spaces and secure bicycle storage
- bus interchange and shelters
- CCTV cameras and lighting
- a waiting room with toilets
- covered seating on platforms.
The station will be serviced by 285 train services each week and a new bus route from Monday 2 December.
Cobblebank Station is located on the Ballarat line between Rockbank and Melton stations. It will be accessible from the newly-built Hollingsworth Drive, off Ferris Road.

The local community and stakeholders had their say on the Ballarat Line Upgrade last year, including the new station.
The information you gave us has helped shape the design for Cobblebank Station (which was known during the planning phase as Toolern Station) in line with the growth area’s Toolern Precinct Structure Plan.

The station will include bike hoops and secure bicycle storage.
|Safety and security|
