Have your say on the Warrnambool and Geelong line upgrades
Posted: 05 Apr 2019
The Warrnambool and Geelong line upgrades are being delivered as part of the $1.75 billion Regional Rail Revival to deliver better services for passengers.
The upgrades will enable more frequent and reliable train services and help to pave the way for VLocity trains to run to Warrnambool for the very first time.
Have your say
We are seeking community feedback about the projects and invite you to have your say by completing an online survey by 5pm Sunday 5 May. The survey takes 5-10 minutes to complete.
An amendment to the Greater Geelong, Surf Coast, Colac Otway, Corangamite, Moyne and Warrnambool planning schemes is required to facilitate the delivery of the Geelong and Warrnambool line upgrades.
You can view the draft Planning Scheme Amendment GC121 and accompanying material.
We are in the process of selecting a contractor to deliver the projects, with construction on the Warrnambool Line Upgrade set to get underway by the end of the year.
Construction on the Geelong Line Upgrade is expected to begin in 2020.
